My car history (Quite a collection for only 2 years!)

After posting in the "Show your front end" thread, I thought about putting together a little car history on here. In the correct order, however some I don't have photos of. So yeah, here goes:
First car at the ripe old age of 17, a MK1 Volkswagen caddy pick up. Spent more money on this than I dare think about, I'd buy it back tomorrow If it came up:
After getting annoyed with worrying about parking the caddy anywhere (understandably, it gained a lot of attention!) I got something run of the mill, a 5 door 1.2 punto:
While driving that, a lovely looking one was offered to me, an Abarth replica (still a 1.2) and I had to have it. To this day i've not seen a better one, ended up painting most of it and doint a LOT of mechanical work. Again, money wasted...
While driving the silver car above, I also aquired a van (which I had absolutely no use for!):
Both of these were sold as money got tight, and I needed a car still. Through a trader friend I got this Alfa, paid the princely sum of £300 for it with tax and mot. The variator had gone causing the usual knocking, said trader was certain it was bottom end knocking. Bargain! Used a fair bit of oil as I never fixed it:
A local elderly lady was then selling this, on behalf of her brother who had passed away. The clutch needed replacing and it had a few dings on it. Bought for £500. Did the work, car owed me £900. Considering it was a one owner from new car with only 12,000 miles on it, it was then sold for £2,000:
The money situation became a lot better, enabling some new toy purchases (during this time the alfa had been sold on for what I paid for it!):
These two appeared at the same time:
Loved the Mini, the MR2 was a proper dog and was sold. Enabling purchase of number 1 MX5 (no photo's i'm afraid)
Mini was then sold as was the MX5.
Bought a Clio 182:
I had a brief love affair with a MK2 Golf GTD (Absolutely loved the thing, but it was rotten):
Leaving me where I am today:
And MX5 number two has just had a deposit put down, think the BMW will be going....
I think i'm doing quite well for 19 (20 next month!)

I like the fact that every car i've had has been my own, while my peers seem to only have eyes for thousands of pounds worth of finance on brand new 1.2 corsa's and the like. All my car fun will be stopping soon as i'll be looking to start getting into bricks and mortar. I'm happy with the E46, a 2.5 straight six is very different to any of my local friends haha, but I think the upcoming MX5 will be the keeper as they're cheap to buy/keep going, freeing up house money!
Great set of cars you've had there! Especially your caddy as a first car.
Your last pic is very similar to my drive at the mo. I have a 2001 E46 325 coupe with BBS LMs and an '03 Black Type R like yours. The BM is the nicer road car but the Civic is much more fun. One has to go though, BM is up first. If it doesn't sell, the Civic may go.
Hat's off to you on sampling such a varied bunch. That mini looks great too.

Big fan of it, prefer the way the 182 handled. But you just cannot ignore that engine. It's what I use when I want to be a hooligan/track days etc.
Get FRSU done to the Civic (camber bolts and arms plus geo set up) and I guarantee you won't prefer how the 182 handled anymore

Agree with this, I don't get paying finance for something plain and dull like a 1.2 Corsa. Winds me up when I get remarks asking if Daddy bought me my 330i, no one seems to realise it costs less then the deposit on their shiny new s
t box and I paid every penny myself. Hat off to ya mate for doing it properly.
