Hi guys,

I've been looking all over the bet for an answer to my question with no luck. I just need to know if these roof bars will fit on my 04 cayenne turbo?

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...d=251292637...

I believe they will but then again I actually have never seen a cayenne with these fitted so I'm now beginning wonder if they won't. Need an answer quick as I'm watching a few sets online and don't wanna bid/buy and then find out they don't fit!

Any help appreciated!

I think they will (I compared my roof next to a friend's Toerag a while ago. BUT, when I was looking the VW ones seem to make a FORTUNE on eBay - check "completed listings" but £250-£300 was usual - i.e. about the same as Porsche charge for brand new Porsche ones. I was lucky and got some Porsche ones off eBay for under £100, but they don't come along that cheap very often (bad title/listing hence not many people found them).

In case you're thinking of doing it different ways I have a complete Porsche roof transport system with 2 bike racks sat here, but the car needs roofrails for it to fit to. It cost me £130, yours for the same if it's any good.

I've got some like that which I took off my old Cayenne and replaced with roof rails. I can't be 100% sure they're the same but they look it from those photos.

Bimjim do they slide together to look like a spoiler? Interested in selling?

They did slide together - when I got it they were close but not touching though. I can't find any photos of them pushed together as they were replaced soon after.

I was planning to put them eBay soon.

How much would you let them go for and can you post or I can arrange a courier! Lovely car by the way! Same colour as my own!

Those bars are what I have now for my own use (they don't fit together like a spoiler - the VW ones do this though), but what I have surplus to requirements is the full genuine Porsche aluminium frame (that attaches to roofrails), and 2 bike carriers which attach to it. I can do a quick photo if it's any use?

Hey guys,

Just for your info.

I bought myself one of these touareg spoiler/roof racks. It does fit the cayenne but it is impossible to slide them both to the rear to make the spoiler as the grooves in the tracks on the cayenne are differently distanced! But works perfectly as the a roof rack!

Just incase there were anymore of you looking to getting one of these for your cayenne!

Sorry, could probably do it tomorrow but sounds like you don't need it now? The Touareg roof bars make about £250 on eBay when correctly listed, so if you paid less my rack might still be of use instead?

Yeh goose if you could stick a photo up so I can have a look! There is a reason there is a gap in bimjim's photo! That's as close as the bars can go.

st sorry, I was sure they pushed up close together.

In my defence, they weren't on long.

Don't worry bimjim! I'll mess around with it tomoro and see if I can modify the rack or the cayenne so it does the spoiler trick! wink
