Oh dear... that doesn't sound good at all.
I am sure this will be a fantastic piece of engineering, with the potential of being a title winning engine but the initial engine sounds seem to be sightly less dramatic than the current lot, but then again it is yet to be setup in the car which will be the ultimate test.
Any idea when the other engines are to be announceed?

king leaf-blower.I don't think that is revving anywhere near it's maximum, and it doesn't really sound like it's under load so its hard to tell what they will actually sound like in use. What you hear on TV won't be anything like what they actually sound like anyway. I remember watching the V10 cars with traction control at a Silverstone test, and you could identify each car purely by how different their traction control sounded - the Jordans in particular had a very distinctive digital type sound. On TV it was rare that you could even tell they were using it from the sound.
Also, from watching TV there is no way you would think the blown exhausts of a couple of years ago sounded like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmGgvHflXgc

I didn't realise this would be the engine until 2020, I thought they might be able to develop it slightly over the years but apparently not!
Also if the turbo is changed you get a 10 place grid drop, which could be dodgy for Mercedes as they are currently blowing turbos up on their gas stand!
