964 RS - prices?
Discussion
Has anyone a good idea where the market is for 964 RS? I'm looking into it at the moment, but I see crazy things.
Non-matching number RS for 89k£ !!! Makes you wonder how much for a 964 RS with its original engine and body

Scary...I thought I would possibly be able to more or less swap my Stradale at some point for a RS but I think I'm dreaming, or I'm gonna have to spend a little bit more.

After a 7RS and 360CS don't you think the 964 RS could leave you feeling a bit underwhelmed?? Very pretty and appealing as a 3rd car, but i think you'd be Dads Army to drop the Strad for ithttp://www.total911.com/news/do-you-really-want-to...
"It’s not different enough from an ordinary 964 to justify the very large price differential"
Anyway, here's a nice Rubystone car - http://www.williamianson.com/cars-for-sale/cardeta...

Nowhere done - only thinking about it for a couple of reasons:- a lot more UK track friendly (noise wise)
- one day there will be a miniThrasher and without a roll cage, I'm quite certain a baby seat can in fact be installed
- a lot less mileage sensitive
- a lot less flashy
- more usable as a daily and weekend car: I need a roof rack for surf trips, the RS has gutters, the Strad...well I bought an inflatable rack but really not ideal for long distances.
Again, nowhere done, as I bought a range rover classic which is currently being restored to fulfill most of the above points, so could in fact keep the Strad.

I rarely post here but as a 64RS owner who is trying to buy another one at the mo' I think I should chip in....
Firstly, the 64RS is now approaching similar territory to the 2.7RS, not in terms of value but as a car that cannot be valued on the basis of it's capability - they are fantastic cars, I would have nothing else, but you are basically buying a VIN number - for a much smaller ammount of money you could buy a nice C2 and create a good RS clone, for say around £30-35k.
So having got that out of the way, I have a mint original panel/paint 100k km Ferrari Yellow RSL which I have had valued by three specialists at £80-85k - tbh at this value I could not replace it, I would probably need to spend ~£100k.
Mint RSLs with low km are now in the £105-130k range and they are selling at this price, nice ~60k km Clubsports and Cups are also selling in Europe at over £100k (I walked away from a 70k km Clubsport to think about it which sold the next day for 125k Euro) - very low km CLubsports are not available in the market and if they were would be £140k+ imho.
So there's my 6p.....
Cheers,
kevin
