Hi guys,

What do you guys reckon to a Transformers bumblebee replica?? Was thinking of a new 5th Gen Camaro replica on a fairly modern coupe as a panel kit.

Think I've got a great modern base car & think it would be a very straightforward easy to fit kit. How much do you guys think you'd pay for a kit? How much would you pay or a finished car?

Be fascinated to know how much interest there'd be to see if this is a worthwhile project.

.....Yes, so it would obviously need to be much less....but how much less is the question??

And it's impossible to have a RHD and the minimum 3.8L engine makes it pretty undesirable to run.

It's a bit like a Ferrari replica on an MX5
Wrong sound track
The bumblebee replica would only work stationary
You just need that rumble

You would be lucky to sell any, regardless of price. Why would you want to have a replica of a cheap modern car? Mind you if you could take a stock car and convert it to a transformer then you may have a limit market lol.

so you want the 3.8l v6 engine?

i think they are based on the VE commodore architecture so a lot of the RHD parts from that platform are available.
fairly certain that there is some of these Camaros up the road in RHD for sale at the moment.

(they are closer to $100K Australian, which would put them in the 80K pound bracket.)

RHD conversions are possible and have been done but as you correctly suggest they are extremely expensive.

I'm talking of a finished product being on the road at about £15k. Would that appeal??
