Hi All

I am planning a Ultima build down here at the bottom end of darkest Africa. Ted has supplied pricing for a "demonstrator" spec car, and as I am looking for a 'factory standard' build, I was planning to go the AmerSpeed route.

However, the choice of the older SBC motors here seems dictated by the cat requirements (for passing the SVA test), or am I wrong?

If this was not an issue, would you gents still go for the older SBC, or a newer, lighter block. Perhaps I should just ask Ted?

Thanks in advance

You will need a 377 ci all alloy engine. 644 or 700 bhp

Reason, to get away from the traffic lights in Jo'burg where the undesirables hang out ....
