Headlight relays revisited

I have a problem some of you may have encountered...
My low-beams are working as designed, and the hi-beam (dip) flash button works alone (when the low-beams are NOT on). The problem I am having is that when switching from low-beam to hi-beam, the hi-beam isn't "latching" and the both hi's and low's go out. When the dip switch is pressed again, the low beams come back on.
I am assuming that this is a relay problem, but wanted to see if someone can confirm...
I read in the past threads that some people have had problem with the headlamp flash relay (the stand alone relay not on the rail) and did some modifacations to limit the travel of the contacts. I assume this isn't the relay I am having trouble with, as the hi-beams do work when used to flash (with the low-beams off). The relay on the rail ( I THINK) is the one responsible for latching the hi-beams on when the low-beams are in use.
Anyone know what those relays are out of so I can find a replacement?

I had this problem - quite alarming overtaking in the dark, flick high beam on to find yourself travelling rather quickly with no lights 
I got a replacement relay from the factory but that went the same way as the first within half a dozen operations.
It's a fairly complex relay which handles either the momentary flash or toggling between low and high beam depending on whether the lights are on or not.
If you take the cover off and try operating it while being able to watch the contacts you can work out which bit does what. I needed to bend one of my contacts a bit and superglued a thin sliver of plastic underneath the latching mechanism that toggles the high/low beam. It's been fine since.
