Does rolling wheel arches damage the body of the car in any way? i.e making your car more prone to rust?

I need to have my wheel arches rolled but want to know I am not doing more harm than good to my car.

I'm thinking of having jaz (www.jazweb.co.uk) in wembley roll the wheel arches at £35 per wheel arch. Does anyone have any comments in their dealing with these people?

Thanks in advance,

Jabriel

I have a follow on question for anyone who may know.

Do you not have to have the arches painted after rolling? I always assumed that rolling would flake the paint off so a respray was required?

Don't know how it was done - and this isn't Porscheville - but when I had a car (BMW) schnitzered the arches were rolled and afaik no painting was required afterwards. At least, I wasn't informed of any or charged for it.

I've had both 993 & 996 c2's wheel arches rolled to accept 18" wheels with no problem of paint cracking or flacking, nor after 5 years of driving 70k mile

I had it done on my AMG merc to accept some 19" Brabus wheels.

They just heat up the metal and roll it back, not sure what is does to the paint, as i really haven't looked.

I had to send the car back to Brabus as the wheels still rubbed under load (and hard acceleration !).
They still rub now and agian though.
