Despite being a Pro user on FlickR for several years I haven't exactly liked the new changes but hey you roll with it don't you?
Well, thought I'd check out 500px to see if were any good. Photos look nice on it, more of a professional site almost, so thought I'd sign up and upload a few pics.
Created the account, created a new set and uploaded 15 photos which took me about an hour. Despite selecting the 15 photos to upload and adding them to a set thought I'd try and select them all to tag them. Nope, wouldn't let me, so I had to go through each photo tagging every one of them with the same tags, then adding descriptions, names etc. Thoroughly annoying me as it went on clicked on finished (or upload or whatever it was) and it eventually got to 100% then said there was an error after about 20 minutes.
Great start again. Eventually after a bit of swearing, relaxing again thinking it must be me I tagged everything again and clicked finish(ed?). Happy days, all 15 photos displayed in the set, bit different to FlickR but I quite liked it.
Logged on a few minutes ago to find only 5 photos. Where are the other 10? No idea, they aren't there anymore.
So in conclusion, and I do pray it's just a glitch with 500px today, the site is slow loading, slow uploading, tagging and editing appears far far worse than Flickr and it basically doesn't work properly.
So, we may moan about flickr but at least it works. I'm going to try 500px again tomorrow to see if I have more luck but I certainly don't think I'll be parting with any money for a better account there.

I have tried to upload the same photos and each time keep getting to the end of the upload then get a message saying there has been an error and to try again in a few minutes. Four times I did it until it finally said they have uploaded. Guess how many photos I now have displayed? Yep, 60. It appears to have uploaded each time despite giving error messages :grrrrrrrr:.
Time to delete the duplicates.
