Fact or fiction?

Junior is just under 10 years old and in the middle of a massive growth spurt right now. He's relatively active, walking/biking, swimming, sports etc. and there's not a scrap of fat on him, but lately it seems that all of his energy is going towards getting tall leaving him relatively weak compared to before and lacking in endurance. This is something he's also noticed and commented upon, not just parental opinion smile

He's eating well and sleeping at least 10 hours per night, and in a good mood since it's school holiday time.

Anything to be done to help diet or lifestyle-wise? Or just wait and see?

I have the same thing with my daughter, who is quite tall for her age, I always figured if it persists for more than a few weeks, get them checked out by the doc, best safe than sorry.

My daughter tired episodes would usually go on for a week or so, not much longer.

Not an expert but I'd say up his carb and protein intake a little?

I had the same at that age, then again in my early teens. His body is trying to stretch itself and it needs fuel and rest to do it. Make sure he gets quality food with plenty of iron and calcium, and let him rest when he needs to.

That's surely got to be the case throughout a kids life! More so in growth spurts I suppose but all the same that's what al parents should be trying to do.

One parents quality food is another's box meal. All I'm saying is look at what's going in and see if a slight increase could help.

Very true. Staggering how many people have no clue about diet be it there's or there kids.
