Hi guys,

I want to buy a new set of pads for my motor, front & rear, mainly for road but am thinking of upgrading the pads.

Can anyone recommend pads, make, part code & where to get them from?

Cheers!

A Note of Caution... I had Austec fit a complete set, after I wore mine out on a 'Driver Training And for 500miles, they Squeeled like a Stuck Pig, until finally beded in.
I have no idea make/type etc, but do know that they are not 'Green Stuff'

They all do that!

The AP brake calipers come in a box marked 'not for road use' because they are racing brakes apparently. Therefore they squeal, no need to be all nice and quiet on a race course is there?

I bet your new pads are just as noisey!

The squealing pi$$es me off. I've got Mintex on the rears, so I will be lookin at an alternative soon.

Mine have squealed like a bus since i bought it. Think its the rears. Ferodo pads all round and they've done 1800 miles, should be bedded in by now.

Problem doesn't seem to be limited to just one manufacturer of pads.

Mine don't squeal but Peninsula did a grease thing on them which I believe helps.

When i bought the car i had no problems with squealing brakes, had it for a year and when it had a service the pads were very low.

New pads put on, a good bedding in time later, i gave it some beans and very hard braking and since then they have squealed like a pig being rogered by a bus!

Sounds F**kin awful and its really pi$$ing me off now, and i am sure its the rear too!
