Oil filter

HI all
will be doing an oil and filter change at the weekend on my 350i - can anyone recommend a decent filter ? Gonna use Valvoline VR1 20w50 oil Any idea how much the engine holds?

I use a Fram PH2821a & think it takes just under 5.5 l

What he said for filter, mine usually takes closer to 6 litres of oil.

Picked up a filter this afternoon front local motor stores. Straight off the shelf £4.95 bargain.

I think VR1 is what I used last time. Mind you I doubt the car has done 200 miles since...

That's a good price for the filter - which motor stores do you use - are they a chain? I might get a job lot...
