fuel lines in car
Discussion
I'm slightly confused by the wording in the Blue book regarding the passing of fuel lines through the passenger compartment. From what I understand aslong as they are FIA approved braided fuel lines using threaded goodridge type bulkhead fittings then that is sufficient protection in itself for the fuel lines to be passed through the vehicle, no extra fire wall/bulkhead would be needed to cover the braided lines?

Yes you understand correctly, although remember that fuel tanks (including swirl pots) need to be firewalled if in the passenger space. Some types of braided fuel lines will leak fumes though, which although meet the regs, may not go down well with the scruitineers if they can smell it.
