After 15 months with no Chimaera I finally have one again!!

I have bought myself a 97 450 in pearl Rosso red with 24800 miles on the clock with a beige and magnolia interior! The car is immaculate with a good service history! I am so happy to have one again! The car drives like a dream recently having gaz golds fitted and a geo set up!! I will post pics later !!

Congratulations, it still amazes me that there are cars of that age around with those low miles - what sort of willpower did the previous owners have?

I've put nearly a quarter of the TOTAL miles mine now has - and that's since October!

I agree I sometimes think the car gets forgotten about!! But that mileage will increase! I was not intentionally looking for a low mileage chim this just happened to come along! It feels so much newer than my previous 98 chimaera that had covered 57000 miles!

I've got a 97 450 with under 23,000 miles on the clock. Had it 5 years this July :-)

500 bought last September came with 12,100 miles. Now has 14,600. A few paint issues but otherwise immaculate and drives very well. Service last week gave a clean bill of health and chassis in great condition. You sometimes wonder if a car could really have done so few miles but everything about it says it's true; no cracking leather, wool still malting from the carpet, original hoses not hardened or cracked, engine bay as good as new, it goes on...

Better condition than the '97 450 I sold 10 years ago.

^^^ I comoletley agree the car feels like it has only done the little mileage I certainly would not suspect it being suspicious! I have just had a quick drive , which has led to a masive grin on my face!!

I have a '95 with 30k on it from new, the engine, suspension, brakes, interior and new body currently has less than 8k since 2004 after being totally rebuilt (was a cat d)

My 97 had 19000 miles on it when i bought it in October, it now has 26000, in fact i just had to call my insurer to tell them I had exceeded the limited mileage on the policy and stump up an extra £93. not that I am complaining, it's worth every penny.

The previous owner had it on axle stands, in an oxygen tent, in an hermetically sealed garage! I think he'd cry if he saw it sat on my drive and being used in all weathers.

I originally intended to just use it occassionally but every time I think of going anywhere it's there on the drive, tempting me and I have no willpower at all..

That looks blooming lovely.

I brought some wheels from a chap a few months ago with a 500 that was for sale, had less than 10K on the clock.

Good to see some positive threads for a change. Enjoy your new toy.

Thank you! I fell for the car as soon as I saw it! The car was exactly as the owner described and is in excellent condition! I am itching to go out and drive it oh and clean and polish!!

Looks lovely, diamond cut wheels suit it to a T.
My '94' has got 22k, 3k of which I've added in 20 months of ownership.

Quick question is Rosso red the colour that notoriously fades?? As I am wondering weather mine has faded slightly!
