The white is rare, I thought only in Ireland/Spain/France e.t.c

Alloys are from a cloverleaf if I recall correctly.

The GT's are strong, but typical suspension creaks/groans (wishbones/drop links)and the GT JTD needs the waterpump changed with the cambelt kit.

Otherwise generally no major issues.

Thanks - granted the one i went to see was black ... but fell in love with the wheels on the white one ... so shall try and get a set of them to replace the 18s that are on it.

Car felt great , interior lovely and no bad noises , all going well i should pick it up tomorrow night.

Looks a nice car, I've had my one for 3 months now and the only thing I can think of to look out for is a heavy clutch. There's a few reasons for this some cheap some not I ended up with a clutch and DMF under warranty.

Alfaowner has a good knowledge base for it as well.

Good luck!

As said previously, waterpump and cam belt. It'll be expensive if you dont!

I've had my diesel Alfa GT Blackline for a month now - not particularly pristine, but I only bought it as a commuting hack to stop me putting the miles on my modded Fiat Coupe (which was costing me £20+ per day in fuel, plus all the other consumables)

The Alfa is an accomplished cruiser - not particularly quick, but relatively refined once up to speed.

Stuff to watch out for:-

Cambelt-critical - the water pump must be done at the same time - the belts aren't the weak point, but the water pump can seize with predictable consequences

Suspension wishbones - usually the top wishbone - they creak or knock - not expensive.

ARB droplinks - horrible knocking noise when shot - cheap fix

Inlet manifold swirl flaps - can seize, leak or generally misbehave. Common to remove them.

EGR - solenoid can get sticky - another common deletion (but usually needs a remap to prevent the ECU throwing errors)

Boost leaks - even small leaks can cause problems, especially if its in the feed pipes to the variable vane actuator

Rattly / creaky tailgate - plenty of silicone spray on the rubbers fixes it, but only temporarily

Wind noise from the door seals - almost incurable - live with it!

Overall, its a typical cheap Italian Coupe - lots of the usual Italian typecast problems, but totally forgiveable when you look at the car. Shame they can't all have the Busso V6 for the noise, but a decent drive anyway
