M6 Service options near Cheltenham ? (official BMW)

Cotswold in Cheltenham and Gloucester will be the main dealer choice....
Alternatively take a look at Gloucester Independent BMW on Eastern Avenue, they use OEM parts from Cotswold and will give you a very straight forward view on things....
Eastville Close, Eastern Avenue, Gloucester, GL4 3SJ
Telephone: 01452 300150
Won't offer you donuts or coffee in fancy cups, but will look after your car and the warranty will still be valid ...
Personally I've had them look after my ///M for the last 8+ years, they also look after our E34 540 and our Ford ST200. They've always be straight with things and left the final decision with us before going on with any work which wasn't requested up front... typically it will be along the lines of advice as to how much life is left in a component without scaring you in to having extra work done.

k that's a fair mileage you've racked up on your M5 there.
Have you had the rod bearings done?

It turned 217k yesterday on the way back from Nottingham....
And no to rod bearings ... still all original

Had a new water pump a few months back, MOT last month with no advisories etc.
Get's serviced when the lights tell me to... and other odd bits sorted when they need it rather than spending money on "potential preventative measures"...
Learned a long time ago not to worry about WWW folklore... especially with all E39 ///M5s supposedly having Vanos issues... Main dealer diagnosed the need for a new Vanos and my Indy sorted the issue with a new O2 sensor....
