Evening all. With a little over 2 weeks left until I attend my 1st BBWF I thought it may be time to make some travel arrangements. Unfortunately I am only going on the Saturday and wondered if anyone would like to go up in convoy from the south east. If you can enter your name below and a location we can try and finalise a route/ meeting points / meeting times in the run up to BBWF. Thanks guys smile

I'm going up on Friday - M11 A14 M6 then over to the Fosse way and straight down. Any new speed cams on the Fosse anyone know about? (Actually I now find they are good overtaking opportunities 'cos a lot of peeps slow down to 50.... ;^)

As Ron suggested lets get a list running then, suggest the meet up should be 08:00 Sat 13th July at Thurrock services, park near the entrance to the cafe. We can set off via the Tesco garage to fill up with 99 RON fuel yes

8 am Thurrock services it is smile What route do you normally take Chris? M25 -M40 or M25 -M1 to Milton Keynes then cut across on A roads? If we post up a route and approximate times of where we'll be along the way everyone else can see if they'd be able to join us if they want smile

M25 -M40 seems the most direct but if anyone wants to take an alternative ill go with majority rule too

Ron in previous years people used to have a stop at the High Wickham car park off the M40 so we could pull in there for a small break before cracking on.

Sounds like a good idea to have a "comfort break" along the way.
So provisional route/times is -
Meet at Thurrock services 8am
Fuel up and depart approx 8:15
M25/M40 to High Wycombe
Arrive High Wycombe 9:30
Depart High Wycombe 9:45
M40 To Ettington
Arrive Ettington 11am
All times approx

This is not set in stone fellas if someone wants to join up but it means modifying the route or times then just shout - I think we can all be a bit flexible smile

Ron,

All sounds good but you could add "quick coffee at mastons gaff" as I live 5 mins from Thurrock Services biggrin
Actually, don't think SWMBO would appreciate that early, better not biggrin
Looking forward to the drive biggrin

I shall add my name to the list, and attempt to join you at M25 J24 (Potters Bar). I reckon if I loiter near the junction I should be able to hear you approaching from far enough off to get myself onto the motorway. Failing that, catch you up at the services on the M40.

Hi Jon
Good to have another wedge joining the convoy. Is there somewhere just off the junction you can wait? I'm sure no one will object to leaving at j24 picking you up and then rejoining the motorway. I'm guessing we should be there about 8:45 ish all being well. biggrin
