Hard Pipe Kit Question
Discussion
Ok, so next stupid question. Just trying to fit said kit and as per my pic below, I have three sections of supplied hose. 2 bends, one straight piece with a smaller I.D.
Obviously this isn't enough to replace every bend, and I can virtually make each piece fit wherever I want it. However, none of the hose pieces supplied fit on the throttle body. Is there an expectation that you cut and reuse the bends from the existing hose that went from throttle body to I.C? Can anybody give me some pointers about where the supplied hose pieces go / replace? I have the filters on the baulkhead and the kit was supplied for that.
Thanks in advance
Paul

When fitting the new hardpipe to the existing 90degree throttle hose try to make sure the hose remains in it's natural, unstressed position so that you don't end up with a pinch point at the bend. This happened with mine, such that the ext diameter at the hardpipe end is approx 78mm and at the bend it's 56mm. Still works but intuitively you'd think more air would flow through if it remained at 78mm.

Thanks for the replies. Think I am just about at the stage of giving up. Both hard pipes for the filters (as mentioned, baulkhead located) are no where near fitting, This is assuming you can retain the filter brackets. Time for beer!
Mine was very tight and I think I had to remove fuel filler pipe first?Gassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
