Eric. Didn't see any mention of the,the,the,the er, was it the Astoria on Great Northern Road opposite the Northern Hotel?
It had the levitating organ (yes we all wish.
) with the lighting linked to the music, the song lyrics shown on screen with the wee bouncing ball to let you sing along with.

I'm not sure I agree with the capitalisation but never mind.
I saw the author lady on the STV news the other night. She was talking about something I often walk by and I always wondered about. Unfortunately, I was fumbling with the remote, trying to record it and wasn't able to concentrate on what she was talking about ... and I failed to tape the program anyway.
What she was looking at was a star carved in the granite in the retaining wall of St Machar's Cathedral yard. You can see it in this snip from StreetView - just to the right of the gate.
She was saying something about it having been a popular myth that it signified where one of William Wallace's limbs was buried.
I'll let you know when I've had a look through the book.

Tawdry Pittodrie! Oh go on Eric. Tell me she was related to Cove Mary or even Betty Hadden, late of Aberdeens "Merchant Quarter". She was also in the cemetery beside "Tawdry Pittodrie" speaking about some head stones which appear to have gun shot marks in them.
I'm often down that way so I'll take a photo for you next time I am.
