Here's my thread for my pretty bland and boring shed, my Renault Megane 2, it was bought originally for £250 between myself and a friend, to then sell on. Unfortunately my E36 blew its headgasket so I decided to buy my friends share, and run this around!

As soon as I bought it I had a new cambelt and tensioners fitted, as I had no idea if it'd had ever had one in its life time.

It currently stands me at around £600 or so roughly, and has a few faults, which surprise surprise, are electrical.

Here's a photo of the beauty!

Haha! Nooo it was bought from a guy my friend knows, it was a bit poorly when we bought it, needed tax, and the guy had just had enough of it! Bargain!

As ridiculous as this sounds, after lots of browsing around and talking on the track day section, the mighty Megane shall be attending its first track day in October, just need to stay out of the way of the much quicker other cars there! I know this is a bit of a "different" choice among TD regulars, but hey ho, hopefully it'll still be fun!

Warning - "Dynamique" isn't a fair appraisal of the handling smile

We were unfortunate enough to have one of these from new back in 2003, and the only good thing about it were the comfy leather seats. Although we didn't get to sit in them much, because the dealer had it in the workshop for most of the warranty period - my wife particularly has pleasant memories of the day when she sat in a traffic jam on a wet morning with the central locking, electric windows, lights and horn all operating at random - even the recovery people were amused. We'd never believed the stories of "dodgy French electrics" until we owned a Renault - But I have to say, for £250 it looks like a good purchase
