How did you fare with the pick-pockets and campsite thieves?

Got stung this year. They nicked my radio.
Tent next to us - luggage got rifled through.
The tent next to that - the suitcase on the boot rack was raided.
The Dutch guys at the site entrance had a small mountain of fire wood nicked.
My friend caught someone rifling though our cool box at 4am.
I don't see the point of security at the gate entrance - when the whole site is generally open from the main road ( Blue South )
They should have someone patrolling to at least be a visual deterrent.

My son caught a guy with his hand in another guys pocket on the tram and he and another got off very quickly unfortunately he had nick another guys phone and wallet, my son never said any thing until the tunts got off or they would have been somewhat hurt, that's why my son never said anything
In Maison Blanc quite a few groups of guys had their pitbikes and gopeds stolen on the Saturday night, the general consensus is that security must be in on it with the thieves... We had one security guy walking around looking shifty as they come, holding hands with some teenage girl... We also had a lot of randomers come over to chat but spend the whole time eye balling what you have.
Just lock anything of value up, its not worth the risk.

There was a silver saloon car driving round MB with security in it too (wearing yellow jackets rather than the red one they wear on the gates). No issues personally, and I never really felt insecure at any point but I was a bit pissed off at the complete lack of security at Bleu Nord, anyone could wander straight in without even being near any staff, which just isn't good enough.
Some guys a few tents down who had a sat dish set up to watch the rugby had their TV and pushbikes nicked. But quite frankly if you're going to go to the circuit with all that left in full view and unsecured, you're begging for it to disappear..

im sad to say in the que to get onto the track after the race i witnessed an english bloke stealing froma young chinese lad.
At 1st i thought he was with him and was putting his rain coat in his bag it wasnt untill it was too late that i realised he was just blatentently stealing!

But Blu NOrd and Blu Sud are just open sided so anyone can walk in, I only stayed there the first year I went, it was like a thai prison that year...Some guys a few tents down who had a sat dish set up to watch the rugby had their TV and pushbikes nicked. I would prefer it if only campers could get in to Maison Blanc but at least security stop any non camping vehicles entering. However this is where the Frogs and English on our site wondered how 5-6 pitbikes were taken off site in the night...
We were in MB and had one of our tents rooted through. They took some clothes, a hoodie and some trousers...luckily my mates Porsche keys were in a different set of trousers and they didn't take them. I think he'll be extra careful to keep them on him at all times now. First time in the 4 years I've been going that we've had a problem.
