How good is The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield???

I am planning a works summer party there and I want to know your opinion on it. If you look on line there are a number of very mixed reviews. Planning on one night with a meal in the Thai restaurant – there will be 6 of us in total.

I've eaten there a couple of times and the food is good.

Personally though I prefer the one at Stadhampton. Less pretentious.

It's very bling, cocktails are nice, but food is so-so and can arrive lukewarm. Ye Old Saracens Head opposite is less fancy but food is much better. I would eat there and then go for cocktails in the Bear.

I found the rooms exceptional and loved the whole vibe of the place. Food was a disappointment.
