Growl - Charity auction - unique item on offer
Discussion
Myles Talbot has kindly donated 2 of the original precat prints for the charity auction which I have arranged to get autographed (thanks V8 Griff and John Mleczek) by original TVR employees many who worked on the Griffith, and it is also signed by Martin Lilley. Some other notable names in there - John Ravenscroft, Mike Penney, David Hives and John Reid.
I have 2 of these truly unique pieces of memorabilia, which I am sure will attract good figures for the charity, Cancer Research UK. Here is one of them to whet the appetite:

this is the sheet authenticating the signatures:

Some of you may recognise the car, but still a great piece of Griff history and a true one off (well 2 off), and all funds will go to Cancer Research UK.
Please send bids to Mrs FFG (andrea.bennett@bamnuttall.co.uk) and we will include these in the auction over the Growl weekend and the highest bidder wins. I may bid so don't send bids to me.

The prints are original prints direct from Myles Talbot. I can supply proof of this in soft copy format also if required.

Come on guys - get your bids in for this fantiastic item. I don't want to have to set Angry jock on you!!
Please remember that every penny goes to the Cancer Research UK charity which is an extremely worthwhile cause, as I'm sure you'll agree.
I shall be looking for your emails...

I'm not sure if I'm reading this right - probably me being thick AGAIN!
Do we submit bids to you Andrea, or bid at the auction.
When is the auction - Saturday night?
Both. We are opening this up to maximise the charity money. Andrea will have the e-mail bids and there will be the usual auction which we may do some items Saturday afternoon for 2 reasons - 1) to maximise the money raised as I've only got 41 for the BBQ, and 2) to keep the auction duration down a bit.Do we submit bids to you Andrea, or bid at the auction.

That is excellent news.
Well done whoever coughed up the money. There'll be another on offer at Back Home in Spetember and that should have quite a few more signatures on it as well as John will have had longer to gather them.

I'm not happy that there will be another as these were sold as unique 2 and hence fetched good money based on that fact. The uniqueness was published here and you knew what I was doing so this completely undermines my original thought to get these done. I've already had a complaint and I can understand their frustration. I was bidding over £300 and I know how I'd now feel.
You originally asked me about a standard print (without signatures) for the Picture This competition but the fact there is a 3rd with more signatures had never been declared until now.
I'm pretty angry at the minute as I know there was going to be 3 of these but one had been destroyed and I'm now feeling a tad suspicious of that news. I am aware of the 3 original print numbers that were sent by Kirstie.
Andrea and myself have been put in a difficult situation with this which needs resolving as I have £650 paid for the 2 prints which are now not what we advertised them as.

Actually annoyed is a very good word. I would not have bid anywhere more than a hundred or so. If other, 'better' ones can be seemingly run off at whim

I apologise if anyone feels mislead here, I know that was certainly not Paul's intention as I'm sure he was ignorant of the existance of the other signed print and it wasn't my intention either, if I'd being trying to pull a fast one I'd hardly have posted on here would I?
Paul, the third print from yourself was reported to me as destroyed by John Mleczek and actually I object to the suggestion that I've been acting dishonourably over this and I expect an apology posting here.
The 3rd print I have was purchased by a TVRCC member and donated to the Back Home event BEFORE Paul contacted me with regards to the prints for the Growl. If anyone really needs proof of this I can supply the email trail.
I have no intention of creating any further signed prints and indeed have only been involved in this as I'm local to the factory and know many of the former TVR employees.

) I'm willing to print out another and get John to physically sign it for you and send it in the post. I will obviously only do that for the two people who buy the print(s) of course.
