So, after the Integra caught a premature case of engine death due to a slight mis-shifting error, it's been sold for an amount of money that made it hard not spend the difference on buying an S2000 rather than fixing it. As a result of this and 2 weeks of searching every classified ad possible, where I found every car that looked decent to have been sold and adverts not taken down or the cars still there very tatty and facing some potential big bills in the near future.

Then fortunately this appeared on eBay and I was the first person to go and view it last Wednesday after coming straight home from a night shift, viewing the car and heading straight to Le Mans and going to bed 37 hours after I woke up Tuesday afternoon!!! It's a 99 model AP1 S2000 japanese import, half leather interior (which actually feel deeper and more supportive than the UK spec full leather ones) stacks of receipts, the bodywork is immaculate bar a small parking dent on the rear 3/4 panel and a small repair done on the roof. It's recently had all the bushes replaced with Powerflex/Mugen items, facelift S2000 17 inch wheels with Bridgestone RE050 tyres and a cat-back Mugen exhaust. All in all so far a purchase I'm very pleased with, and can't wait to collect it Saturday.

The PH sticker has already been ordered, other than that no real big plans for the car other than a de-cat pipe, rear lip spoiler, possibly a small rear diffuser, wheels being done in grey, a spot of lowering and a front lip spoiler, think something along the lines of aiming to look like a factory special edition rather than an obviously modified car. But nothing will be done in a rush, need to recoup some finances first after taking a the hit on the Integra.

Here's a couple of snaps I took when I went to look at it last week and a couple from the ebay add. Some decent pics will be posted soon.

Love it. Does that have traction control? And when's the supercharger upgrade coming?

No traction control, and a supercharger has crossed my mind already especially as my insurance would only go up £40 with one on, providing it was 300bhp or below, above 300bhp I think it goes up something like £80 hehe money is just the issue in the short term at the moment so the main thing is enjoy it through what summer we have left.

Get a good induction kit before anything else imo. The sound will blow your mind. Nice car though, I do like these S2000s.

Do you park your audi then have to climb out of the passenger side?

Love the colour of the S2000

I'd love a s2000 as a 2nd car and when I get the cash together will probably get one. The factory fitted pushes and wheel alignment can be dodgy on the older ones. Get it set up at a specialist is my advice.

I might go an do the odd day at Oulton and have a play, nothing serious more just to get used to how they handle. I want to keep it as tidy as it is now if possible but enjoy it at the same time.

Saw this on Ebay last week! Work is crazy at the moment so didn't get a chance to go up and have a look!

Looked like a good buy at the advertised price! I'm itching to get another as the bottom end went on my last one after not long doing an engine swap! The next one will be number 6! Awesome cars! smile

I honestly couldn't fault it, went to look at it expecting the pics to show a car that was nowhere near as good in the flesh to be honest but it turns out I was wrong smile

Lovely car in debatably my favourite colour for them; nearly painted my old civic this colour a few years back.

Out of interest, what happened to the 'JDM' rear bumper?
