Well as per my other thread ( coil packs shot to bits ) I did the usual "whilst i'm at it..." and ordered new Packs ( yes, the Bosch ones) leads and plugs not to mention every sized stainless Allen bolt to replace the rusty/stubborn ones... I digress.

As I had the fuel rail off, thought i'd change the injector o-rings.. then I thought, there original on 53k probably need a clean.

So off they went to injectortune.co.uk for £12.50 a pop for a clean and refurb.

Not much of an inbalance at 2% but all back up to 240cc/min.

Now if I could just remember which bit went where... : )

Did they tell you what they were flowing prior to the clean by any chance? My Tuscan's injectors are at just under 59K so are probably in a similar state.

They did indeed, full print out. I'll scan in the results and post them.

Crappy BlackBerry fails to see the upload image button on the forum..

They where 236 to 232 ( best to worst before cleaning ) and all 240 post cleaning. So regained 46cc in total and balanced again.

Jim, with the post clean numbers did they indicate the exact flows of each injector. Just curious as I know that on the speed six tvr power recommend putting the highest flowing injector back on cylinder six, which can run lean.

They did, or rather the pre clean showed the highest flowing injector.. but post clean they all flow at 240cc/min so I plan to stick them all in a hat and blindly draw them at random to refit.

Not sure where the rabbits going to go mind... A stew probably.

I decided to copy you & sent mine off before putting them back in. I was hoping they hadn’t just copied your Cerb sheet dunked the injectors in some paraffin & sent them back for £100!

Sure we won’t notice a bit of difference but it makes you feel better!

Mine had done about 48k so regained about the same amout.

Although using school boy maths the 50cc gain is not much compared to the 560cc the 4.5s 310cc injectors have over the 4.2s 240cc injectors.

I didn’t realise there was so much difference, extra willy waving rights for the 4.5 boys wink
