Angle Grinder Buying Advice Needed

I need to do quite a bit of rust removal and it looks like the best bet will be to use an angle grinder and poly-carbonate discs. I have the use of some room in a lockup for a couple of months to do the work but there is no power. I can borrow a generator and a mains powered angle grinder but that's only a little 850w job that I think will struggle to run a 720w angle grinder.
The other option is to buy a cordless one. Plenty of cheap Chineese ones on Ebay but having used cheap power tools before I think buying one might be a false economy. The next step up is a Dewalt kit at £200. Would this be suitable? If not what would you recommend?
