Xbox 360 game like Far Cry 3?

Not a big gamer, but got Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider at xmas and really enjoyed.

What comparable games can someone recommend me please?

Just Cause 2 is quite similar to far cry, not as good but still loads of fun to be had.

Seems obvious, but how about Far Cry 2? Pretty unforgiving and not as good as 3 though. If you liked the exploring/ shooting mix of FC3 then you could give Fallout 3 a go. Much more of an RPG than Far Cry but still quite action packed. It's also one of the greatest games of all time.

I bought new Vegas recently thinking I wouldn't enjoy it , how wrong I was !

Im half way through Farcry atm. Loving how there are so many ways to approach combat. Pure stealth, guns blazing or anything in-between. My particular favourite is a mix of c4, escaped wild animals and explosive arrows. If that side appeals Id recommend Dishonoured or Bioshock infinte (both also got pretty good stories) If you like the exploration side then yeah fallout or Skyrim. Just cause is almost good.

Another one for Just Cause 2. The controls are a little weird to start with, but it is probably my favourite game of that type on this generation of consoles.

Nothing like jumping out of a plane to grapple onto another plane in mid air. It's still very pretty too.

I recommend Just Cause 2 as well. Incredible fun, very silly and one of those games you can just load up for hours without realising and just travel about, seeing the world and occasionally attaching motorbikes to helicopters as they take off. I might have to play it now.

I'm yet to play farcry 3 as number 2 was so poor. Just cause 2 was great fun and you could also look into the gta series, great sandbox type games. Also boarderlands 2 is pretty good.

FC3 is a very different kettle of badgers. I think I speak for everyone when I say you should play it immediately. I also didn't get along with with FC2.

I played Borderlands 2 for a good 24 hours or so. It's great, but I think to get the most out of it you need to start it at the same time as a friend. I need to persuade some friends to get it...
