Air-Con Question

I have a Mk1 and I am sure that air conditioned air used to blow out of the dash vents. Cold air only comes out of the pod vents and foot wells now. Am I mistaken about the dash vents?

Conditioned - cool air should come out of all the vents.

The roll top above the 'tray'/below the w'screen is in effect a mixing plenum. Look underneath & up in pass. side footwell and youl see 2 x 75mm dia silicone elbows linking the heater and a/c matrices under the 'humps' in the engine bay to the roll top.

So, all ventilation will come through the windscreen vents/footwell vents.

I'd check that the 30mm(?) convoluted hoses is intact when you stick your head in the pass. side footwell.
