Heat shielding

Should the side sheets (under the battery tray in the pic there) come down to the bottom of the body? I’ve a feeling they did & got ripped off when the body came off, or was there the thicker stuff that’s between the chassis tubes down the tranny tunnel? It’s been so long I can’t remember!



In that pic the body is obviously half way back on, now that bottom line on the heat shield lines up with the chassis top rail.

Yes there is reflective shielding between the chassis and body. I have just added extra on the inside of the chassis rails also while the engine is out. Not getting cooked next time its on the road

Shamelessly "borrowed" from Tanguero, it does indeed go fully down the body, with the padded insulation overlapping.

Ah thanks that looks right, think we should get shares in the shielding companies though!
