Evening,

Ive had my Cerb MOTs the last couple of times at a TVR friendly dealer quite a way form me. Ive totally forgotten the MOT is coming up and havent had a chance to book it in there again and need to get it done this weekend. Its got sports pipes on the back although not sure if its decatted or not. Is this going to be an immediate fail?

It wont pass without cats, as it will fail on emissions (although even with the cats in it can be a struggle). Sports pipes themselves shouldn't cause any problems.

OK, I need the check the cat situation. It passed the last two years so I assume the cats must still be in and its simply a back box change

You won't need to change the back box - I don't think they fail cars on noise...yet.

Wot!!!!? A good running Cerb even with Sports pipes will pass the emissions test with ease, if it doesn't something is amiss somewhere.

Maybe speed 6's are easier to get running well as you don't have two banks of cylinders to get balanced!

My local mot test centre are very very straight and if mine failed the emissions it would fail, no turning a blind eye. But thankfully mine sailed through a few weeks ago - cats in, sports zoorst. Suggest you take it round the block for 20 or so miles to get nicely warmed up and you should have no trouble

Failed on emissions and while it was being run up it blew a hole in the expansion tnak and we had to abandon the MOT. Can I confirm that looking at other threads the part I need is this from Europarts ( form those whove fitted one?) http://www.eurocarparts.com/search/205440130/p/Car...
or Audi 100 equivalent.
