chris Andrews and rfm
Discussion
By now you hav all probably read on ed about chris driving risto's old car .. obviously I dont no whats goes on but does seem quite odd when chris has a state of the art car and potentially championship winning car of his own and yet still chooses to drive for rfm .. I no there will be a valid reason and I no there was talk on ed of his rear wing needing to go to the states ... that said a possible deal for the rest of the season .. I dont no but surely the parts needed tou run his own car would be back I time ??? Just feel like thats a tfd less on the start line ... all said im really glad to see chris back with his lighting reactions ... think he will be tough to beat and my tip for the win at Finland

See RFM website for reason why For the benefit of those for whom googling "Rune Fjeld Motorsports" presents too great a challenge, I have the inside track on the REAL reason for Chris' sitting yesterday out...
At tech inspection, Chris' beard was found to be outside the published SFI specifications. The regs state it has to be longer that 4mm long, otherwise it is classified as "bumfluff". Chris needed to put another 0.6mm on his chin overnight. Fortunately (being Norwegian) Rune has copious supplies of tinned rotting herring dating back to the Prudhomme finals event in 1980. A poultice was applied at lunchtime yesterday, and this has hopefully worked its magic overnight.
This delay has fortuitously had the added benefit of giving the team time to put last year's DSR car together as well.....

On all public fora, and (it has to be said) especially this one, there is a tendency for people who don't know secrets to want to know them. Conversely, there are also people who are "in the know". Actually, I am so far out of the loop these days, I know very little of anyone's plans. I am certainly not a member of our sporting illuminati. However, I have reasonable skills in research and I am interested enough to want to find stuff out for myself. Perhaps I expect too much from other people. It's a failing.
If you find my comments sarcastic, then I am sorry you feel that way. I will suggest a reasonable compromise: I promise to stop responding to idiots with sarcasm just as soon as people stop being idiots.
I have no idea what that's ^ all about. So hay ho.

So in fact you were incorrect Jon, he would have been running later on the day of posting; although you were also correct as he was also due to run on the day after posting providing he qualified on the day of posting!I'll get my coat...
