Bemused Buffoon in need of assistance
Discussion
Whilst clearly spiralling out of control and having fallen into the P car trap [again] I've now given it a couple of months "as you do" before making
my announcement to her in doors that I'm fed up with it and want my Aston back.
Right
she's got over that quite well in the circumstances and appears to be relatively supportive in my latest Automotive quandary so I
would like to lean on the knowledge amassed on this fine forum with a few questions if I may, varied they may be but relevant in this instance.
Q, How is Morning Frost to live with and to keep looking well,is it soft, does it show the swirls, will I need Paddy every 6 months.
Q,Is Meteorite dull on a Roadster with a black interior and how easy is it to look after.
Q,Having gone from 4.7 V8 to V12 Vantage both manual is it possible to go down to a 4.7 Sport Shift Roadster without forever wishing for those
missing 4 cylinders.
Q,As we only tour in our sports cars do you think the straight forward 4.7 non S Vantage variant would suffice or is it likely to be a bit sluggish through the gears.
Will it offer a relatively smooth drive after I've adapted my driving style to suite the gearbox. Will it be down on power and need pushing along.
Q,So which dealers are "lets say" motivated currently as prices and deals seem to differ greatly going by the couple I have spoken with,I don't and won't enter
into a Dutch Auction but would just like to know what I should be getting offered rather than spending a week playing mind games and brinkmanship.
Q,Has anyone seen a nice Vantage with Sports Shift standard or S sitting in a showroom somewhere that needs a home.Out there colours are not a problem as
I'm trying my hardest to keep away from the Blacks and darker colours.
Q,Would you cross the line,I'm tempted to get another V12V and you'd be surprised what I've turned up on that score or would you stay safe, appease the
Wife and get the Roadster as she loves the open top touring.........bless her.
Q,If I purchased a non S Roadster like the one that I have found in Skyfall with Chancellor red interior and a Grenadinne roof [the Wife loves this one] and say if
I found it down on power what could BR do to it with out going daft to pep it up a little and at what sort of cost.
Q,Is the reversing camra any good as I've not come across the Aston one before but do find my Range Rover one invaluable and finally at this point is the Garmin
Sat Nav a big improvement over the Volvo system that have entertained me endlessly in my previous Aston's.
Any help's a bonus thank you and if anyone's spotted my next Aston sitting forlorn somewhere the bubblie's on me.
There a whole post totally car focused and related without me being silly,I'll make a note of that

Yes that was our thinking that Hever would push us one way or the over really, the Wife's keen to see different colours whilst in a collective
outdoor enviroment rather than under showroom lighting.
It might also give her the chance to look at or try [kind owner permitting]the lightweight seats that I have identified on a couple of V12 options
but I fear to much cake may have already ruled us out of lightweights but you never know a good diet and a set of tyre levers might do the trick.

I can't answer most of your questions, but the reversing camera on the current car I find as good as the Range Rover. Our Range Rover has the all round cameras which means the reversing camera shows the direction the car will take, I was surprised when I found out all the Range Rovers aren't like that. The current Aston one also has the same type of system linked to the steering angle. The Garmin sat nav I do find much nicer, I went from a 2011 V8 with Garmin to a 2009 V12V with the Volvo system and really didn't like the Volvo one at all (I had the HD system with latest disk so at least it did do post codes).Sat Nav a big improvement over the Volvo system that have entertained me endlessly in my previous Aston's.
I've just got back from an 8 day tour of Norway in a V12V roadster and have loved every second of the roadster, hood down for 95% of the time even in the (pretty heavy/torrential at times) rain. Having had the V12V as well, if I had to choose now between the V12V coupe or a V8V roadster, I would go for the roadster as touring with the roof down I feel like I'm visiting a country rather than just passing through, this is obviously a very personal choice though.
That's my 2P worth.
Morning all,
Andrew, look forward to seeing you on Sunday, should be interesting as I've been offered MF V12 yesterday new and unregistered.

Same colour as woollies car Ed - which will just happen to be at Hever. It will be the one being polished by paddy - but will be no where near a gazeboWhat about this: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a...
Non-black/dark colour, convertible, V12, better looking than the Vantage. Perfect

If it's the one I was offered last month, then push had on pricing as (despite what they will tell you) they've had it sitting on their books since last September and want rid of it.I've been offered MF V12 yesterday new and unregistered.
