AMV8 Vantage MY06 Reversing lights /icon / Parking Sensors

Hi Guys, need your help again!

My Reversing lights, red 'R' icon and parking sensors have become intermittent - in-fact they fail to operate 95% of the time when the vehicle is in reverse gear!

Now I'm guessing this is all down to a faulty reverse selection switch?

If so,where is it, how do i get to replace it?

Anyone else being down this road ahead of me?

I've had this and turned out to be one of the wires that had broken. Either have it replaced or soldered depending on how bad it is. Bad news is that either way it's a big job as almost always involves the rear bumper coming off due to the lack of space back there.

Mine did this after the dealer made a warranty repair on something else (faulty buttons or something) a while ago. I think they dislodged something near the gear lever.

To get to it you have to start taking trim bits out from the rear and work forwards (I am pretty sure). And I think the switch/wires concerned are near the lever itself.
