Anyone used POR 15?

I'm was going to use Hammerite but I've been told this stuff is much better, though not so easy to get hold of.
Has anyone used it? Is it any good?, easy to apply? etc.
Is it worth putting waxoyle on as well afterwards?
Oh, one other thing how are you supposed to paint the top of the out riggers where they are recessed into the body? Any tips?

I just used their tank sealer for a seam leak... seems good but blummin US tins (cant operate them!)

Sure have - on my outriggers and upper wishbones, stuff is as hard as nails once it drys. I just stripped off the waxoil, flaky powder coating and painted it on. Prefers to be painted onto a rusty surface, if the surface is too clean it just runs off.

Tip! don't get it on your skin! at least two weeks to wear off (embarrasing when u have a blob of it on your nose!)

I've just used for my whole chassis and wishbones. This stuff appears to be very tough, the knocks from the ongoing re-assembly have proved that. After using this stuff (and their Chassis Coat Black) I am reluctant to use Waxoyl because it's so messy.

Maybe this was a bit 'belt & braces' but after the shot-blasting I used alkaline cleaner to ensure a fully degreased surface and then used POR15's metal ready, which is acidic and dissolves the alkaline residue into a salt, before painting.

Did all my chassis / wishbones last year. Found it stuck better to clean surfaces by treating with the por15 metal ready solvent. POR15 solvent was also useful for thinning and cleaning up.

Needed to drop diff, propshaft, gearbox & manifolds to get at upper chassis rails (unless you take the body off!)
