Hi,

Great day yesterday. The Stratos was going well and handling OK, but lots of understeer initially.. Played with tyre pressure and after a bit of advice started to raise the pressure.
That helped dramatically and it was starting to handle well by the end of the day. I'm going to put on a bit more negative camber and then have another go.

I may end up with some pics, so I'll post if any come through.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi,
I guess that was when the oil spill was getting cleared up.?
What were you driving / passengering?
Blyton is a great little track.. flat, but technical corners.
For a laugh I checked my mpg when I filled up post track... A grand total of 10.5mpg ! smile

yeah it was during the clean up. i'm in the red lola t70 replica. mine is 5mpg on track, yours is positively eco friendly lol!
maybe see you there again, i try and go to blyton a few times per year when the weather is good. for an airfield venue its a great surface and track, quite technical, very fast in parts (think i am hitting nearly 120mph through Port froid, and similar on the run upto the wiggler, which is enough for me!

Very nice car...

In my mpg defence, it included the 5 "steady" miles each way from / to the petrol station!

My speed isn't working properly, so not sure what speed I was getting to, but not 120mph...
Maybe around 110 and fast enough... I was driving home, so trying to keep in one piece.

I'll be back for sure later in the year when I've got the front geometry changed.

Hi Andy have you been sneaking in extra days at Blyton without telling the rest of us Stratos Drivers?

I've been rumbled! I was off the pace with you and Rob, so I thought I'd get some practise in!
At the end of Saturday, the car was starting to feel reasonably balanced although a little more front grip would still be good. A little More neg camber will do it I think.
I'll book another towards the end of the summer and this time I will post on the Stratos site!
What's good timing for you?

Yep you cant post on PH and expect to keep it a secret... there are a number of us from the SEC over here as well!

Track days arent all about the times compared to others, thats what racing is for! The whole point of a track day is to have fun... and not worry about having to race smile

If you are looking at going to Blyton again, I am home until the 17th September. I am busy the whole of July & plan to go to Santa pod mid August for a RWYB day, and looking at the Javelin TD calendar, they have sat 31st August or wed 11th sept when I think I will be available, but wont know for sure until i am home & check what other plans we have.

With a bit of luck we could get more cars than last time.....

Hi,
22nd is not impossible... I'll stick it in the diary and see if finances and "Misson Control" will allow.
