New Focus instrument panel, flashing ????

Uncle Joey Dalls has just got his brand new Ford Focus, he has asked me to tell him what it means when a blue arrow and a number 4 comes up on the cluster, apparently it counts down to 1, I have no idea, anyone ?????

It sounds like the shift up light to me. The car tells you when to change gear and which gear to change to so you are driving the most economically.
