Well, unfortunately, the time arrived this morning, when I had to have Mika (after Mika Hakkinen hehe) my 14 year old moggy, put down. He was a complete nutter, and I'll miss him being around. Anyway, here's to Mika (the cat, I believe Mika Hakkinen is still very much alive scratchchin) beer.

I've got a fair few on one of my hard drives at home, I'll put a couple up when I get a minute.

He was a right character, sadly he was finally undone by pneumonia, given the fact he used to get in fights with stuff twice his size (including a dog or 2 eek), I must say I was slightly dissapointed with the way he used his ninth life up. To be fair though, the vet said he may have sustained more damage than we thought, when he took on a Badger a few weeks ago, and that may have contributed to his demise hehe.

Sorry to hear that.

Earlier today I had to say goodbye to my two 19 yr old cats.

It was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. One had been ill for quite some time while the others rear legs started to go.

They had a bloody comfortable life and will be sorely missed. The deed was done in my garden with the sun bright in the sky. Very fitting.

They will be missed but also celebrated. As hard as it was we knew it was the right thing to do. Still sad though.

RIP meg and Jess. And of course mika

I knew Mika had had it yesterday morning, when he couldn't even manage to climb up on my bed, to get me up at about 4 a.m. (as was his 'routine'). I went out and got him some king prawns (his favourite treat in the world) as soon as I could, then phoned the vet. I knew what was coming , and weirdly he seemed to know as well. He got in the carrier thing of his own volition, with no attempt to resist, or try a sneaky swipe with his razor sharp claws (absolutely a first) hehe. The vet confirmed that he was in a bad way, with pneumonia and anaemia, and that it was fairly pointless trying to treat him, as he would almost deffinately die anyway. So I got the vet to do the honours, fed him his king prawns, stroked his head, and let him drift off. He had a cracking life, and a comfortable end yes. I've got to go and pick his ashes up tomorrow.

Here he is, ignoring me, and sitting facing away (as usual) hehe.

Here he is sat next to me on 'his' cushion, on 'his' sofa hehe.

Awww... He looks like a sweetie.

For some reason I expect white cats to be a bit pouffy, but taking on a badger... clearly not.

RIP Mika

He was a total psychopath hehe . Looked like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, he would frequently prove otherwise yes. He was a complete nightmare with strangers, I used to tell them to keep eye contact with him if they wanted to stroke him, the minute you lost concentration / eye contact he'd swipe you. A right little sneaky bd he was yes. As long as you showed him who was boss, he was a sweetheart.

He was a handsome cat and sounds like a character to match smile. Story you had to say goodbye to him but he obviously was very poorly so you ,made the kindest decision.

RIP Mika and rip Meg and Jess frown
