As far as I know you will need to register in order to attend, try here:

Depends on what you mean by attend. To attend, it is free as it's a public event at a Royal Park (Kensington Palace).

If you want to have lunch there then you can either contact Gemma as above, or bring your butties.

There will be a line of Astons the like of which has never been seen before, or will again.

Look I'm not sure about this but I was under the impression that to park your Aston in Perks field adjacent to the Palace on the 21st July, one is required to 'register' your car. V8LM, if I'm wrong thats fine and thanks for the gen, I just wouldn't want anyone to be 'refused' parking if registering is indeed a prerequisite. smile

Parking in Perks Field cost £75 and is fully booked in any case. You will have to park in public car parks nearby and walk into the park. I believe some of the displays are by invitation only too.

I am going to this on the Sunday 21st, got an invite from my Aston dealer... not 100% sure what the order of the day is yet.

Anyone else going on here?

I was 'accepted' but am not going - way too little info too late, conflicting AMOC & AML dos on the previous night, very little clarity and as another post demonstrates, more interest in corporate entertaining for Microsoft than shock horror, actual aston martin customers

I decided to spend the weekend doing what we should never forget is the most important thing, namely driving our cars, especially when the weather permits, rather than standing around chatting about them/looking at them :-)

Maybe because I'm just a Johnny-cum-lately but I'm very much looking forward to the 21st. Like you speech, I've had s*d all from the dealership by way of hospitality offered but it ain't stopping me and my best mate being there. Parked in front of the palace, seeing 100 Astons representing the 100 years of its existence, being there with our own Aston Martin parked close by, 100's of like minded admirers/owners,,,,what a privilege, what a memory, not to be missed.

+1.

I know I'll be missing out on the privilege of paying £75 just to park my car but hey I'll get over it hehe

Looks like it's going to be more of an AM corporate cr*p day anyway.

It is really disappointing that AM appear to be trying to make it a customer funded event but I think if your not there you will regret it. From what I hear some very special, and unique, Astons will be on display that have never, and will never, be seen in public. Going to make sure my camera battery is fully charged so can take lots of pictures yes

I'm sure you're right Ian and I don't disagree with Y100 either

I've also been influenced by a few factors including the sheer number of events (centenary & non) this year

But the fact remains, it's been handled poorly. The event listing promising further info has been on the AML website for 6 months promising 'further/full/booking info soon' and it has come out way too late, with what has come out being incredibly unclear, conflicting & confusing

The party(s) the night before is the area which has been most poorly managed.

I also worry that the 'VIP area' on SUnday with the rarer cars if I understand correctly, which is available to buy tickets for and is free for those paying to park in PERK fields, will be a huge very 'non-VIP' bunfight - there will be at least 4,000 people eligible for that (1,000 parking in PERKs and their +1s, 1,000 free for AMOC members and one assumes, at least another 1,000 for corporates, AML, standalone purchases, etc)

If I lived a little closer I'm sure I would have acted a little differently and as I say earlier, I'm sure it will be quite a spectacle but they simply lost my enthusiasm for all the factors mentioned above

Is that right, there's a thousand cars in Perks Field? Wow...

P.s. I applied for my foc VIP pass for the roped off area, received a nice reply saying I was assigned a ticket but that was a month ago and have since heard nothing. frown
