Not really. They were on pole at Monaco last year (until Schumi got put to the back) so that's one track where it has made little difference.They are just getting better. Lets face it, Lewis's move now looks like the right one...

To those saying of course not, Hamiltons exploded. Well they don't for Mercedes do they, not for Rosberg. I'd suggest it's just pot luck depending on what line you take, and I doubt they could engineer in to the car anything that would save the tyre sidewall from sharp curbs (if that is what caused the blow outs).

Two completely separate issues, and you know it.Lewis was first to blow a tyre, one could suggest that's cause he was pushing them harder than others...

Its interesting that Hamilton was the first to suffer failure whilst disappearing into the distance. Was it because he was cutting more curbs or because he was just loading the tyre more than anyone else? Either way this is beyond a joke now. The teams need to agree to some testing using current cars just to give Pirelli a fair chance of producing suitable tyres.

Finger has been pointed at 'sharp' inside edges of curbs cutting the inner tyre wall on rear left. All were this tyre bar one. On the other hand this may just be the most loaded tyre that got too hot and fell apart.You're running the risk of spoiling your enjoyment of the GP now!
