No, I don't effing want to. Programmers, give me a restart when I am good and ready button or I'll stop using your software.

You only write the software, you don't own my computer

Open task manager and kill the process. Simple. Unless it's one of those nasty ones that is simply waiting for hte process to finish anyway.

Zone alarm... Works well enough, but I'll restart in my own good time. The moment the process dies, your machine restarts. Only problem with delaying is that on ADSL is you are sat there with your drawers down until you do!

Either way, I want an I'll do it when I'm ready button

I installed the new McAfee Internet Security 6, and it wanted to restart my PC no less than 8, yes, 8 times before completing installation, version 5 was far better! VERY annoying!

You could always not press the 'ok' button until you are good and ready?

That'll be the update part playing you up. I did a clean install of this yesterday, once you have installed the first bit of the update and restarted it once then just click "no" and it moves onto updating it properly (if you know what I mean). Then that's it.

Odd and a pita until you realise what the problem is.
