Hub nuts Setting

Lads, what is the socket size required and the torque setting please

Hi Gav...The Hub nuts are 38mm i believe and need a good 230lb/ft of torque..So you need a big arse torque wrench and about 4ft of scaffold tube..Might be worth getting some new ones off of Mr T...cheers...Ziga

As I suspected, you need a 1 1/2" AF socket - I use a 3/4" drive as it's such a high torque value.

I use a metric socket which is probably 2mm too big - but as it's a hex socket it doesn't really matter.

I will tighten up my nuts (whole hazel nuts mmm, Cadbury's make em.....)
