Ok I know it's a common problem so I'm hoping there is a common fix.
The sunroof's of my car are leaking and the water is showing through the manual winder. Where do I look and is there a fix or do I just live with it??

Cheers

There's two fixes: Either a) pull the interior apart and seal it up carefully to retain the use or, b) make merry with silicon and leave them shut.

I seem to remember there's a good guide for both methods on the d2boysclub forum (I meant to put this in my first post, but got distracted).

There are drains from the front corners, which run down the 'A' pillar. The leaks are caused by a combination of these drains blocking and/or the seals perishing.

The way to fix is to drop the headlining, clear the drains and re-seal.

There's a really good guide on the d2 boys club site iirc. Basically you need to take out the head lining, seperate the frame of the sunroof, reseal under the outer plastic trim, clear the drains and reassemble. Or there's a bloke in Somerset who'll do it for £150 a roof iirc.

I decided to put silicone outside the plastic trim on the roof, smearing it firmly into the gap between trim and roof. So far it's holding and there's been no more drips...

Apparently there are drain tubes which run from the sunroof gutter down inside the A or B pillar trims, and the pipes split or perish. A friend of mine had his fixed by a local specialist who cut our the damaged pipe and replaced it (them) with (I think) copper brake pipe.

Thanks very much all. Will look into it some time this summer when it's dry.
