Many years ago (10-15 year ?) I saw a MGTF replica demostrator / display model at the Stafford Kit Car show. It was at the top end of the right side hall and not in the main area. Fibreglass body and I think Ford based. It wasn't the Gentry and neither was it the far more recent MX5 based Alternative Cars TG. Not a Naylor nor a VW based either kit.
At the time there were reviews in magazines.

Anyone tell me which car this was ?

Thanks.

I used to have an extensive collection of magazines but I let Steve Hole of TKC magazine have them. Searching through my copy of British Specialist Cars by Chris Rees (published 1993) offered a couple
  • After Naylor went bust they were offered as a kit called Mahcon TF
  • Douglas TF (Herald or Ford based)
I seem to remember a kit from South Africa but that may be the the MX5 based car.

Spent a couple of hours tonight going through my copy of the "A - Z of Kit Cars" (kept getting sidetracked smile ) and discovered it was the Douglas TF.
