(Vaguely more seriously) In (most?) camera you can usually specify any three letters!

For example, mine come out as DSA, DSB, DSC or DSD depending upon shooting bank settings - but I can programme it for any three letters!

Indeed; mine are 'BWC'.

Samsung is another possibility perhaps?

I think most of the higher end Canons allow you to choose your file names (7D and 1D models both do anyway), so quite possibly someone has chosen their initials?

Thats exactly what I do with mine.

Changed so mines comes out as CMAC......CR2
