Just had a look at the PH ads for first time in years and amazed to see how many for sale!

Further more, lists are saturated with 500s set at crazy prices, whilst (IMHO) the far more characterful and fun to drive pre-cats are exceptionally rare, but being offered at give away prices???!

Surely supply and demand alone should reverse this trend...let alone the purer driving experience, and indedd the fact they are older and much more rare - they are also the iconic PW turnaround car for TVR..

Not that crazy the 500 prizes and I for one am rather pleased they are going up. You think they should go down?
It's the SE cars that are on sale at the very high prices. Plenty of normal 500s at around 15k.

..err, no dont believe I was suggesting prices should go down, merely surprised that the rarer and purer pre-cats arent far more sought after

Twas ever thus. Maybe the high number of 500s is due to a high turnover (I know, I know they made many more of them).

What has changed is that for years the number of Griffiths for sale on ph was always about a third of the number of chimaeras. Now it's nearer two thirds...

But is that not the problem? Pre cats are getting on for 18+ years old now.

1991-92 so over twenty years old by my reckoning... whether 12 or 20 years old though, they're all getting on now and should be judged on condition, not age.

Do you think that the amount of Griff's currently available is due to the fact that expectations are high in terms of price?
