Discussion
Hi chaps.
Just in middle of renewing insurance for the tiv and also my classic mini.
I got a quote from performance direct for £450 for the year, 8 yrs driving, 7 yrs NCB which are protected, 98 chim 500. I am 25 today
Anyone had experience with them?
That is my best price so far and I am v impressed with it.
I used adrian flux but their best quote from someone called KGM? was £520.
Am waiting a call from mannings.

Almost double your age(48) so this will make a difference.
I have been living abroad for 12 years so lost all my previous Full NCB.
I am back in the UK and brought myself a 97 Chimaera 400 Sat 1st July 2013. Have been a previous owner of two TVR's in the past (last one V8s) and holding a full clean, not a single point Uk licence since 1982.
Started the minefield of insurance searches and almost pressed the proceed button at 643.00 from Admiral as this was the best by many quotes by 60-80 pounds.
One final search from also the company (insure wiser) came to 351.01. As I was looking thinking they must of made a mistake somewhere the phone rings and it's them.
We went through everything again making sure that they had not missed the fact i have 0 NCB or missed anything that could make such a difference.
Everything was in order and paid full amount there and then. Still waiting for the full policy terms to arrive but the very helpful man (Andy) went on to state everything that is included. Breakdown, courtesy car, windscreen I have accesses of 150 but also was told (yet to discover) a birthday gift voucher to the amount of your age is sent
My advice give them a call saved me 300.00 pounds
Good luck and kind regards jason

Small mercy that you don't live in the US of A. 1995 4.0HC was £220/year and my Mazda 6 even cheaper......got 10+ years NCB, over the hill, etc. Come to the US and get quoted 1450USD for 6 months for a Mustang GT!!!!!!!!! Ouch. Managed to get it down to 1100 for 6 months.
Possibly down to the way yanks drive, using the bumpers to check their distance from all other cars around them....Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
