Mot fail?

Got mot booked tomorrow morning and while washing the car noticed that the n/s spot light has a cracked lens will that be a fail or an advisory?

If its cracked with no hole you may get away with it. But if its showing none filtered light or white light in respect of coloured lens then yes it will fail.

Fingers crossed then, there's no hole and it wasn't cracked last time I washed it a month ago maybe. How do you change it? And will this be a Porsche only part or available at gsf car parts ect?

It's not part of the test although some testers may advise it as it's cracked.

Cover both lenses with tape?

Look for some clear waterproof tape (Ebay). Used to repair greenhouses. Will keep water out of the headlight until you get it fixed.

Well it passed its mot! Advisory on front pads and the guy let me in the pit and have two oil leaks although the oil level has not dropped in the 8 months ive owned it. Looks like RMS is leaking between gearbox and block and o/s cam cover at the front. Should I get these looked at asap? I'm guessing they've been leaking a while looking at them.
