Gents, experiences involving your frenulum...

Dodgy subject I guess, especially for a first post. Worry not, I've been around here for a while, just not on this account.

Anyway down to the nitty gritty.

If you're not aware what your frenulum is don't bother Googling it. Ignorance is bliss.

However mine is somewhat damaged and I've been informed by the doc that it's best to have it cut. Frankly, I'm bricking it. I know it should be quite a simple procedure, but one slip and I'm singing soprano. The thought of someone wielding something sharp anywhere near my pecker is scary.

Anyone had any similar experiences, good or bad?

Tore it three times, was offered the operation you are referring to or just to refrain from any activity for a few months.

I took the 2nd option as I didnt fancy the op, and I've had no bother since. (Around 5 years ago now) but the thought of it snapping is always in the back of my mind..

This is one of my worries. The other big worry (and it's too early to tell) is that I've heard of the scar tissue that forms making it shorter than it was before, compounding the problem

There is definite scar tissue but it does get 'looser' over time if that makes sense?

I er snapped mine completely at the weekend. The ping as it went was fecking unreal!

Luckily it had torn a bit before and seems ok now, actually better than it was before, it's only a bit sore but hasn't stopped me doing anything since!

I guess the trick is to lay still and don't twitch!

Mine was really really tight as a teen but it's kinda stretched over time with plenty of appropriate use. I had no idea they could snap!

I've had the op (frenuloplasty)...... Mine tore in a big way and I was admitted to a&e.

I had no option but to have the op but it is strange afterwards. Lots of nerve endings are 'changed' so you need to literally rehabilitate down there. Having said that, once you've had the op there's nothing there to damage again....so smash away

Not that I'd say it's a problem currently, but the last thing I'd want is to be more sinsitive, if you catch my drift...

Tore mine a couple of years ago, bizarrely I didn't notice until I had "finished" and withdrawn from my gf (apologies for the way this is written, I struggled with the wording somewhat!!) the amount of blood was shocking but I felt very little pain! I actually thought it was her that had produced the large amount of blood until a closer inspection..

After a month or so it was completely back to normal and has been fine since!

Thinking back to it, when I was a kid of about 6 years old at most, I remember having an operation on my penis where the surgeon used "magic cream that will numb the area"..... the lying bd. Anyways, I had bridges that seemed to connect my foreskin to the main shaft of the penis that limited the movement, so those were cut off without painkillers or numbing of the area

Not that I'd say it's a problem currently, but the last thing I'd want is to be more sinsitive, if you catch my drift...

It's not about sensitivity really but everything feels different. It is very likely that you'll need a medical kick start to get things going again, especially to get over the psychological worry of the unthinkable happening again.

As all the nerve endings are altered, everything feels different so you need to work out what feels good again and how everything works now it has been altered. Nothing I would worry about to be honest and I was happy to have the op as now there's no sorry that it can snap again etc.

It was similar to when I had my appendix out and I couldn't walk as they cut through all my stomach muscles, it takes time for the tissue to repair and the time again to relearn how everything works.
