Just got off the blower to the service department in Blackpool 'cos my car's up there for a rebuild.

Have just been told that due to the volume of cars in the factory at the moment they have added 7 engineers to the rebuild staff

Unfortunately they are still expecting 8 weeks as an average time to return your car

cant come too soon - weve been waiting 3 months for a top end rebuild, under dealer warranty...due to 2 followers going...now if the car had been anything remotely normal Im sure its like a few days work inc engine in/out...they seem to tell a different story all the time...we started out at 4 weeks, then 8 weeks (front of dealers queue then!) and then finally 12-14 weeks

...sorry for the moan...but I truly hope they open up authorised service centres around the country that are allowed to work on the engines..having to go back to the facotry for a couple of followers is ridiculous IMO

Phoned the factory today and found out that ours is
13th in the queue ( unlucky for some eh!) Did you manage to find out where yours was. We are ringing again next week and will be given an update. Where we will probably find out that we are 12th in the queue.
PS - you must get that steering sorted on that Mondeo
