Online Shop / Ecommerce website designer recommendations

We are starting a new business stream at work and I am trying to source a proven website designer / group to build an online shop. Has anyone got any recommendations?
Trying to find someone with a track record and portfolio of top end online shops has been tricky as the best seem to be down south and we would prefer someone closer to home. Any help appreciated. We do have a relevant budget to apply so it isn’t a matter of doing it on the cheap!
